Background

Founded in 2017 with a focus on Microblading, Brow Bar 868 has since expanded its services to include a range of treatments such as Lash Lifts, Lash Extensions, Laser Hair Removal, Waxing, Ombré Brows, Lip Blush, and Lip Neutralization. The brand identity was developed to reflect this evolution and the core values of the business.

Brand Identity & Design Philosophy

The "868" Element

The inclusion of "868" in the logo is a direct nod to the company's origins and location in Trinidad and Tobago. By subtly incorporating the country code as a circular "full stop" in the logo, the brand acknowledges its heritage in a creative and non-obtrusive way.  


The Brush Stroke

The rose brush stroke used as a background image is a key visual asset that hints at the artistry and skilled technique behind the services offered, particularly microblading and other detailed brow and lash treatments. Its fluid and artistic nature conveys the precision and creativity involved in enhancing clients' features.  


Typography - Expertise Meets Artistry

The chosen typography reflects a blend of expertise and artistry. The use of Montserrat for general text provides a sense of clarity and professionalism. In contrast, the "bruno." font, used for services and key brand expressions, adds an artistic and unique touch, further emphasizing the creative aspect of the brand. The distinct usage rules for each font reinforce this balance.  


Color Palette - Warmth, Trust, and Femininity

The color palette was carefully selected to emanate warmth and trust, inspired by the female founder's presence and the feminine nature of the target audience. The pastel shades like Rose Bud, Romantic, and French Lilac create a soft, approachable, and elegant feel, while the thoughtful inclusion of Coated (an off-black) ensures readability without being too harsh. Each color is also strategically associated with specific services, adding another layer of meaning to the palette.  


Communication Tone

The brand's communication tone is designed to be casual, fun, and sassy. This approach aims to make clients feel comfortable and confident, mirroring the transformative effect of the services provided. This tone is consistently applied across all marketing communications, from social media to printed materials.
